It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Bryan Harris, affectionately known to many as B-Y, a dedicated and respected member of the Moncton community. Bryan’s life was marked by his unwavering commitment to public service and his colleagues.
Bryan spent 28 years serving as a 911 Dispatcher with Ambulance NB, a role that exemplified his dedication to helping others in times of need. His calm demeanor and quick thinking were vital in emergency situations, providing reassurance and support to those in distress. His colleagues remember him as a dependable and compassionate professional who always put others first.
Beyond his career, Bryan was actively involved in union leadership. He served as Vice President of Local 4848 for the past decade, advocating for workers’ rights and fostering a spirit of solidarity among members. Most recently, he held the position of Treasurer of CUPE 1252, demonstrating his commitment to representing and supporting his fellow workers.
Bryan’s passing leaves a significant void in the hearts of his family, friends, and colleagues. His dedication, kindness, and leadership will be deeply missed. He leaves behind a legacy of service and community spirit that will continue to inspire those who knew him.
A funeral service will be held in Moncton to honor his life and contributions. The community mourns the loss of a remarkable individual whose life was dedicated to service and support for others. Bryan Harris’s memory will live on in the hearts of many.
